As we started to prepare for the preliminary task I chose to copy 'The Third Man'. We had to impersonate each camera angle and movement for two minute of the extract. We did every specific shot exactly when they were produced but put our own spoof and idea into it. Our own idea of a chase sequence was a chase abouta crazy boy chasing after a girl. Whereas, 'The Third Man' was a chase sequence came from the idea of a criminal being chased by the police.
Preparation like this will benefit towards my horror trailer because it will teach me how affective each camera shots were and how each shot can flow together in the trailer. It was best to analyse first before making the film trailer because if we went straight into filming we would have struggled because the trailer would have be amateur and poor. So we benefited in analysing other trailers to find out what would work best towards our trailer in each camera shot and transitions.
